Act 2:37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" 38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."
Three Baptized into Christ
We are so happy to report that three people have responded to the Lord and were baptized into Christ! Two were baptized on June 12, 2011 and one was baptized a few weeks ago at a village church.
Timmy has been attending our group and studying the Bible with Phil for about 10 months now. It has taken some time, but just recently he came to the following conclusion: “ Only God understands me”. He really felt it was time to follow the only One who understands him.
Kim has been working with us serving the Lord for the last 9 months. He is also working on a Master of Divinity degree from a local Bible College. He responded to the Lord and was sprinkled several years ago in his village from Korean missionaries. Since then, he has discovered the Bible’s teaching of immersion into Christ. He said, “I want to obey Christ and be immersed just like Jesus was!” It was such a wonderful occasion to witness the first baptisms of Ban Sila Christian Church!

Also, Phil has been teaching the Bible to young teenagers at a juvenile detention facility called Sun Pinit. One young man, Wan, came forward and wanted to commit his life to Christ. Phil prayed with him and encouraged him to be immersed into Christ. Just a few weeks ago, Wan was allowed to leave the prison for one week. He immediately returned home to his church village near Chiang Rai and was immersed into Christ. Phil was so excited to hear from Wan that he had followed Christ in baptism.
Rejoice with us in this great news of three baptisms and pray for these new followers of Christ.
Sincerely,
Phil and Michelle Parker
